Carnival Opening Opera at the Luna Hotel Baglioni

Don’t miss the special evening at the Luna Hotel Baglioni to celebrate togheter the traditional Opening of the Venice Carnival!
The appointment will be at 6.30 pm in the warm atmosphere of the Fireplace Room for our Welcome Cocktail: just in front of the warmlighted-on fireplace you will savour the typical Venetian Canapès while sipping the renown Bellini and Rossini Cocktails, created for you by our Chef Carlo. During the cocktail you will be entertained by a special funny Opera: “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”. The famous Opera of Gioacchino Rossini will be performed by top-level artists, prouded boast the stage of the most famous Italian and International Theatre.
Starting from 8.00 pm the refined Buffet Dinner will be served in the elegant ambience of the Marco Polo Ballroom, with original frescoes by the Pupils of the Tiepolo School.. The Marco Polo Ballroom is in fact the perfect setting to experience the real Carnival of Venice and you will have the chance to parade your Venetian Carnival costumes and traditional Masks! Our Chef Carlo will surprise you with a special carnival menù and with the exquisite Venetian typical desserts: frittelle and galani!
We will make you dance till late with Dance Music of our Disk-Jockey: international covers, rock, group dances, music by ‘60s and ‘70s…

Figaro discovers that the Count is determinated to revive an old costum : the seigniorial right to anticipate the bridegroom on a servant's wedding night. Figaro vows to outwit his master
between plots, intrigues, gallant meeting and unforeseen events.
After the Opera the Ball will continue with live modern music.

In the magical night of the Carnival of 2008, candlelight in the most charming Palace of Venice, facing the Grand Canal, among precious scenographies and the 18th frescos, you’ll be the welcome guests at the Mask Ball Mascheranda.
Within the fancy dress, wrapt in the mystery of one’s own mask, you’ll dance in the midst of either venetian and foreign masks, in the great game of transgression and seduction.
At the arrival in the main Saloon richly decorated, animators and musicians will welcome the guests entertaining them with games and performances. In the entry Saloon a mysterious aperitif will be served .
The masks will then be invited to go upstairs , where , lodged in the Tiepolo Saloon and in all the others , a grand traditional Gala dinner will be served , with a live classical music performance .
During and all along the evening , music , fantasy, entertainments , colour and warmth, will be the frames for the magic of the Party going on with a Show of international worldwide famous artists and performers , the School of Historical Dances and the great Mask Ball in the Main Saloon with surprises and games based on the theme of the Party.

CHARITY GALA DINNER AT CA’ SAGREDO – on behalf of proRett Onlus Research

The Ca’ Sagredo Hotel, overlooking the Grand Canal, with a style dating back to the 15th Century, will welcome you in its magnificent lounges which retain numerous examples of a glorious past with masterpieces from important Venetian painters of the 17th and 18th Century such as Nicolò Bambini, Giambattista Tiepolo, Sebastiano Ricci and Pietro Longhi.
The Gala Dinner will be held in the “Sala del Portego”, overlooking the Grand Canal and will end with a lyric concert with the soprano Stefania Miotto, in the splendid atmosphere of the ballroom of Count Sagredo.

The most well-known Palace of Venice, on the Grand Canal, with its precious frescoes by Gianbattista Tiepolo and totally enlightened by candles, will be as usual, the theatre of the ending of Carnival 2008.
The gala dinner will be served in the wonderful rooms and will be enriched by the music and entertainment of artists and musicians.
In the main lounge you will enjoy the magical past atmosphere with waltz and quadrille while in the entrance hall with a different live music orchestra you will be involved in frenetic dances.
The performance of the artist acrobats “Les Farfadais” will amaze and dazzle you. There are performances which cannot be forgot. There are performances which dazzle in an evening and remain hanging in the gravity. This authentic wonder for the eyes will be the great ending of the Carnival 2008!
